The FREC 3 (First Response Emergency Care Level 3) is a nationally recognised and regulated qualification designed for individuals pursuing careers in emergency services, the ambulance sector, event and security medical teams, or high-risk workplaces.

 

Delivered over five days, this course equips learners with essential knowledge, practical skills, and competencies to manage various prehospital emergencies. Key areas of focus include airway management, catastrophic bleeding control, fracture management, medical emergencies, and more.

Accredited by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care – The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, FREC 3 aligns with the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D.

 

This qualification is ideal for roles such as Event Medical Responder, Emergency Care Support Worker, and other emergency care positions.

 

Additionally, the QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is part of a structured pathway, providing opportunities for further progression to FREC 4 (QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF)).
